Position Summary Information

Position Description:

Seeking a postdoctoral research fellow qualified in Rangeland and Soil reclamation. The primary responsibility of the position will be to oversee the implementation of a treatment structure to identify successful brine remediation strategies and quantify soil and vegetation parameters associated with each treatment. The fellow will be strongly involved with coordinating an interdisciplinary investigation with both field and greenhouse sampling in addition to laboratory analysis. Linkages between rangeland vegetation, soil chemistry will be the primary focus with additional aspects investigated as they are developed.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. PhD in Soil Science, Rangeland Ecology or a closely related field
2. Thorough knowledge and experience of soil and rangeland sampling procedures
3. Effective oral and written communication skills
4. Ability to coordinate activities, plan ahead and work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with laboratory and field soil analysis
2. Experience with field and greenhouse experimentation
3. Experience with multivariate statistical procedures
4. Experience with data management, report writing and publication
