Position Summary Information

Position Description:

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at North Dakota State University invites applications for a post-doctoral position, with appointment beginning on or after August 1, 2017. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology or related field. They must be highly motivated, have a strong record of scholarship, and possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
The position is a renewable 1 year position, funded by a National Institutes of Health Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) award to NDSU. The candidate will investigate the role of the receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) in pancreatic cancer.

Preference will be given to applicants with training and research expertise in areas of immunohistochemistry, confocal microscopy, molecular biology (cloning and quantitative PCR), cell biology (cell maintenance and cell-based assays), and flow cytometry. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with graduate students.
